Motorists MUST Attend the MA Driver Retraining Program:
- If they have received notification from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles that their driving privileges are or will be suspended due to three or more surchargeable events in two years
- If they are required to complete by a court or judge due to other circumstances

Coronavirus Update
Urgent: In an effort to ensure the health and wellbeing of our instructors and students due to current coronavirus concerns, the National Safety Council and the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (MA RMV) are canceling all MA classroom driver safety classes until further notice.
NOW AVAILABLE: MA RMV has temporarily approved an alternative way to deliver the statutorily required content in the form of a 4-hour online class. For a limited time, your participation in the online course will fulfill your in-person class requirement. The process is easy and convenient, and the online course can be completed anywhere you have an internet connection.
- If you were enrolled in a classroom Driver Retraining Program, you have been automatically transferred into the online class. Look for mail or email from NSC that includes a unique access code and instructions on how to log in and complete your 4-hour online class. If you are scheduled for multiple classes, you will receive a unique online access code for each program requirement and will need to complete the online course multiple times.
- To register for the 4-hour online class, please click the “Register Now” button above and get started immediately.
- If you already started your online course and need to log back in to finish, visit www.nscsafety.com/madrp and enter your login ID and password in the Returning Users section. The course will start from where you bookmarked your progress.
Please make sure you complete the online course at least four business days before your suspension date to allow time for processing. You may check your current license status at any time by accessing your profile at Mass.gov/RMV.
Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving
The eight-hour Defensive Driving Course, Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving, has been approved by the Massachusetts RMV License Suspension Unit. The course is taken by motorists as required to avoid suspension or to have their license reinstated.The program is aimed at changing behavior behind the wheel. Through this course drivers learn why they continue to have driving related problems and how they can take responsibility for their actions.
Course Fee
Course Fee is $135 and payable by credit card through our online registration site. You can reschedule to a different date or location at no cost up to the day prior to the start date of your chosen class date. Rescheduling on or after the start date of your class will require a mandatory, non-refundable rescheduling fee.
- $65 to reschedule on the start date of your class
- $135 to reschedule after the start date of your class
Important Notes:
- The RMV must receive your electronic completion at least four business days before the date your license would be suspended; please schedule your class accordingly
