Transportation Roundtable: Roadway Safety During COVID-19 and Beyond
During this July 21, 2020, roundtable, the National Safety Council – in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Governors Highway Safety Association and AAA – presented motor vehicle fatality estimates that correspond with the COVID-19 pandemic. Panelists from each organization discussed necessary transportation changes as the U.S. grapples with COVID-19. This includes the role employers, federal and state leaders, and public health and safety professionals all play in saving lives on the road. With motor vehicle crashes as the leading cause of workplace death, employers should be especially concerned. NSC is also offering new roadway resources, including a SAFER playbook on transportation considerations for returning to work. Watch the webinar here.
